Hi, I’m Pat and this is my blog about parenthood. The original inspiration for this was to give real fathers something they could relate to – a view of fatherhood that is thoughtful, whimsical, and provides a contrast to the doofus sitcom dad sterotype. Also, to give anybody who has ever had, or known, a kid something they could be at least mildly entertained by.
I have been married to my wife, Emily, or ten years, and we have three kids who provide seemingly endless fodder for me to write about. Lucy (7), Evie (6), and Brooks (4) are recurring characters in anything you’ll read here.
I live in Grand Rapids, Michigan and have a day job is in digital marketing. I run, read, watch sports, and enjoy baked goods and craft beer. Ya know, Dad stuff.
